Growing up I remember my mom taking us kids up American Fork Canyon to play all the time. We would meet with our cousins, bring crackers, slices of cheese and meat, and we would make cracker sandwiches and just play. It's one of my favorite memories as I kid. I love the mountains. I love nature. Well a couple of days ago I was craving that mountain air. It had been quite a while since our little family had ventured up there because of how little Aiden still is but I decided it was time! I was craving some mountain air. Evelyn didn't quite understand where we were going but as soon as we told her there was a lake to throw rocks in she got really excited! That girl and water....I tell ya!
^^I'm sure Evelyn was like, "mom stop taking pictures! I just want to play in the water!"^^
^^Like I said you get this girl near some water and she will play there for hours! It was such a gorgeous day too!^^
^^Finding any rock she can to throw. And yes that is mud she decided to sit down in to get as close as she could. ^^
^^I thought it would be fun to take off our shoes and walk through the water a little bit. Maybe my feet are more delicate than Evelyns, (she hates wearing shoes) but I don't think I even lasted two minutes walking around! Plus the water was freezing! But that didn't phase Evelyn!^^
^^Jake found this little patch of grass back down the canyon and decided it was a great spot for a little picnic. I don't know what it is with little kids and picnics but Evelyn thought it was the greatest thing and asks for picnics all the time now! Too bad it's been raining almost every day since then! Aiden slept most of the time but when he was awake he was very observant with his cute furrowed brows, taking everything in.^^
^^Gosh I love these two!^^
