My favorite beauty tool

2:16 PM

So I posted this picture on instagram a little bit ago and got a couple of questions about it so here I am with a blog post on why the PMD is my new favorite beauty tool.

First off lets get to know this product. PMD stands for Personal Microderm. Basically it's a tool that allows you to give yourself professional-quality microdermabrasion treatments at your very own home. Usually you would go to a beauty salon and pay some big bucks to get one of these just once. Essentially what you are doing is breaking apart the dead skin cells, signaling your body to replace them with healthy new cells. There is a scar on my face that has been there forever! I have no idea how I got it. And since using my PMD it's almost disappeared. They also say that because you are removing away the dead skin layer, the products that you use on your face are more easily absorbed into the skin making them work even better!

One question that I got a lot was, "What is the difference between the PMD and the Clarisonic?"
For me both are amazing tools, but I use them both differently. The Clarisonic is for daily cleansing and removes my makeup better than anything I've used. I like to compare it to using an electric toothbrush vs a regular toothbrush. It removes so much more! The PMD however removes dead skin cells which has totally transformed my skin. I like to go a couple of days during the week without putting on any makeup just to give my skin a break, and since using the PMD I have been able to do that without being self conscious out in public because my skin tone has become pretty even! I love it.

It helps reduce pores, wrinkles, fine lines, sunspots and redness!  The other thing I like about the PMD is that it comes with bigger disks so you can use it on other parts of your body. A girl I know uses it to get rid of those pesky red bumps (keratosis pilaris) that some people get on the backs of their arms.

Another question, "Does it hurt?" Nope! Just more of a tingly sensation.

"How do you use it?" You use it once a week, with clean dry skin. The only trick is not to go over the same spot twice. I like to start at my jawline then work my way up on one side, then switch over and do the other side.

PMD has their own personal FAQ page if you have any other questions! And I asked PMD if they would do a little discount for you guys and they were so nice and did, so use the code heather15 and receive 15% off any of their products!
